Let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified and whom God raised from the dead — by him this man is standing here before you healthy. This Jesus is the stone rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.

Is this something Christians made up to try to be the only religion? Not very “tolerant”, is it?

The reason why Jesus said He is the only Way to heaven is because He is the only One Who was the only begotten Son of God, and so qualified to be the perfect Sacrifice for our sin. Holy God requires a perfect sacrifice, from ancient times.

So that all people who chose it would have a way to escape a literal, burning, eternal hell, (Matt. 10:28) and enter the glorious place God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Cor. 2:9), He provided a universal way for people to come to Him. We don’t have to recite a book of the Bible, or climb Mt. Everest, or give a thousand dollars a week to the church. It is simple enough so that whoever will place their faith and trust in Him and repent of their sin may enter.

As we read the gospels, which give us a picture of Jesus, and Who He claimed to be, we discover the One Who loves and protects us.

“I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd puts the sheep before himself, sacrifices himself if necessary. A hired man is not a real shepherd. The sheep mean nothing to him. He sees a wolf come and runs for it, leaving the sheep to be ravaged and scattered by the wolf. He’s only in it for the money. The sheep don’t matter to him.
John 10:11‭-‬13 MSG

He called Himself the door (John 10:9), Bread of life (John 6:35), the Light (John 9:5), living water (John 4:14), and used many stories (parables) to paint word pictures of the kingdom of heaven.

He also demonstrated His love, saying,

Then He willingly stretched out His arms on a cross, an instrument of torturous death, and became the sacrifice for our sin – the Lamb without blemish.

Please get a New Testament, sincerely ask God to reveal Himself to you, and begin reading with an open mind. It is highly likely you will discover what millions of others have – that Jesus is Who He says He is, and He can do what He says He can do.
