The Lord is my Shepherd

πŸ‘The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. πŸ‘

🏞 He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. 🏞
Psalms 23:1‭-‬2 NLT

The Good Shepherd being described here is the One who leads His sheep to the best pasture, not content for them to nibble on dried, burnt grass. Not only that but, knowing them as He does, He takes them by the peaceful streams, knowing they will be afraid of swift running water. He leads them to gentle waters they can drink from without fear.

The Good Shepherd invites you to follow Him. What does that mean? Doing things His way, instead of our own. It makes no sense for the sheep to insist on dry grass, does it? How do we know whatΒ  He wants? What does it say in the book He had written just for us? As we make it a priority to study and learn and meditate on His word, His will is made known to us. Gentle Shepherd, lead us…
