Hello Friends,
I have put many hours into a new website, which has taken more time than I envisioned. I have missed our time together, and am back on the blog, while continuing work on the website. I hope you will bear with me!
Speaking of time….what does the Bible have to say about it?
Well, it says there is a time for everything…
For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1 NLT
Jesus said to work while it is still day, and that the night is coming, when no one can work, indicative of the shortness of time.
We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. John 9:4 NLT
And that now is the day of salvation.
For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2 NLT
Have you been putting off making that crucial decision for Jesus Christ, without which no one can enter the kingdom of heaven?
Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 NLT
There is a lot of promise in that verse.
Have you realized Jesus is who He claimed to be? That He can do what He said He would? That He wants to do it for you? There is one way to take Him up on His offer. Now is the accepted time.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.
John 3:16-18 NLT
Are you a Christian, but have gotten off course? You know you have wandered and need to make a change of direction. The answer is basically the same. Return to Jesus.
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 1 John 1:9 NLT
He is waiting…but there is that issue of time. Please don’t let it run out while you wait.
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16 NLT
