You have probably heard the story of the frog in a pan of water. It goes like this:

Put a frog in a pan of cool water and very gradually turn the heat up. The frog will sit in the pan until the water boils and cooks the frog.

Compromise. A very little here, then a very little there. A little more here, and a little more there. Now the water begins to simmer and it is too late to get out.

The next time you think, “It’s just a little thing and it won’t matter,” remember the frog…
