My sweet Uncle Bill graduated to heaven last night. His suffering is over and he is having a great time in glory with Jesus and his family already there. We will miss him for sure but are so happy for him.
None of us knows when it will be our turn. Heaven is all about Jesus so please make sure you know Him if you have a desire to go there when you die. There will be no more chances when this life is over.
This is what the Bible says about being sure of our eternal destination:
…since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God,
ROMANS 3:23 AMP
…the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God [that is, His remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers] is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23 AMP
If your hand causes you to stumble and sin, cut it off [that is, remove yourself from the source of temptation]! It is better for you to enter life crippled, than to have two hands and go into hell, into the unquenchable fire, [ where their worm does not die , and the fire is not put out . ]
Mark 9:43-44 AMP
But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name — John 1:12 AMP
because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.
Romans 10:9-10 AMP
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me].
Matthew 16:24 AMP
I encourage you to begin with the book of John in the New Testament. Find out about this Savior Who loved you so much He set aside glistening robes in heaven and the glory He had with His Father to come to earth as a helpless baby in a livestock trough! He did all that so He could identify with us in every way–in our poverty, affliction, heartache, and overwhelming need. Then He stretched out His arms to angry sinners bent on destroying Him and willingly allowed them to inflict excruciating, extended pain on Him, ending His life. Why did He do it?

Because He is God’s Son, He did not stay in the grave! Praise God!
“Dear brothers and sisters, children of Abraham, and friends of God, this message of salvation has been precisely targeted to you. The citizens and rulers in Jerusalem didn’t recognize who he was and condemned him to death. They couldn’t find a good reason, but demanded that Pilate execute him anyway. They did just what the prophets said they would do, but had no idea they were following to the letter the script of the prophets, even though those same prophets are read every Sabbath in their meeting places. “After they had done everything the prophets said they would do, they took him down from the cross and buried him. And then God raised him from death. There is no disputing that—he appeared over and over again many times and places to those who had known him well in the Galilean years, and these same people continue to give witness that he is alive.
Acts 13:26-29, 29-31 MSG
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11 NLT
I pray you will open your heart to His and follow Him. He is worthy!
