It is all too easy to take matters into our own hands when they look threatening, but we are reminded that He is the One in control, no matter how unruly life becomes. The disciples in the boat in the storm were in chaos one moment; in the next, their world was completely calm.

All it took to set things right was for Jesus to speak.

There were seasoned sailors on board, but their expertise wasn’t enough. The boat was used to the waves and sturdy, but it was sinkable.

Only Jesus was enough for the situation.

He is always enough for any circumstance of life when we realize our power and might are not adequate, and cry out to Him.

All we need is for Him to speak…
